Customs: Russia’s ferrous metals exports rise 14% in Jan–Jul
MOSCOW, Sep 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s exports of ferrous metals increased 13.5% on the year to 27.452 million tonnes in January–July, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement on Friday.
Cast iron exports rose 32.1% to 3.383 million tonnes and semi-finished carbon steel goods exports increased 14.8% to 9.507 million tonnes.
In monetary terms, ferrous metals exports rose 33.9% to U.S. $13.585 billion. Cast iron exports grew 44.5% to $1.241 billion and exports of semi-finished carbon steel goods increased 46.8% to $4.818 billion.
